FRPP Intake Manifold for 3Vs!!!!!

The product hasnt been tested yet aside from ford's claims. These are pics of the FIRST production batch from ford- actual release of the manifold was supposed to be the 15th, but that got pushed back to the 20th.

Ford's spin on things:
Part Name: 4.6L 3–Valve Intake Manifold
Part Number: M-9424-463V

Part Description: Ford Racing introduces its latest high performance intake manifold for the 2005-2010 4.6-Liter Mustang 3-valve engine. The intake is designed to compliment hot cams, performance heads, added displacement or forced induction. When used with other Ford Racing components, it can extend the RPM band and increase airflow while losing minimal torque on the bottom end. Compared to the OE
manifold, the Ford Racing intake made 40 more horsepower at 6800 rpms.

The Ford Racing 3-valve intake was designed using CAD modeling technology and data from the production intake manifold ensuring it's matched to the volumetric efficiency and unique characteristics of the 3-valve Modular engine. From the CAD model, nylon rapid prototype manufacturing was used to build numerous manifolds with varied volumes and runner lengths which were dyno-tested for power confirmation before final design sign-off.

Specs:
• Fits 2005-2010 4.6-Liter 3-Valve Mustang engines.
• In testing 320cid engine with M-9926-3V throttle body:+40hp more than OE stock intake at 6800rpm, and when compared to OE manifold, M-9424-463V was within 5lbs/ft of torque throughout entire curve
• Works well with Ford Racing's hot rod camshafts, high performance CNC ported 3-Valve Cylinder Heads and Ford Racing throttle bodies
• Lightweight composite construction (same material as OE intake manifold), 13lb vs. 30 lb aftermarket aluminum intakes
• High-flow runners and open plenum design, fits under factory Mustang hood.
• Tested to 5 bar pressure - great for use with forced induction!
• Includes Intake Manifold Gaskets

hes just gonna keep modding it till he can actually say its not a street car anymore and cant take it out....and when that happens he wont be able to take it to the strip cuz its "too fast to get it onto the trailer" cuz it will just take off into space

The more He mods it,the less he drives it.
I think we should change the Friday nights meets from DD to His driveway, because its the only way we'll see the Reaperrr at a meet.

Vinney they just did a test of the intake in the newset MM&FF sept issue. They had a 3V on an engne dyno. The only upgrade was a twin 62mm T.B. Stock numbers were 359 Crank Hp and 352 crank foot lbs of torque

With just a change of the initake and same 62 mm t.b the numbers were 366 crank hp and 349 crank foot lbs of torque. Now put a drivelne behnd that. Your probablly going to get a few hp to the wheels.

They also changed out the stock cams 0.433-inch lift with 177/199 durton @ 0.050 with a set of HOT ROD CAMS 0.472-inch lift with 221/240 duraton @ 0.050 the addition of the larger cams and intake made 400.3 C-hp and 360.4 C.Trq

They swapped the stock Cylinder heads for a set of F.R. Stage 1 CNC ported heads, F.R. Intake and stock cams. Numbers are 391.2 C-HP and 359 C-TRQ.

Hot rod cams put back in and stock intake back on #'s 390.9 C-HP and 364.8 C-TRQ

NOW stage 1 heads F.R. intake and Hot Rod cams 423.2 C-HP and 362.4 C-trq

F.r stage 3 heads Hot rod cams and stock intake # 404.2 C-hp and 362.4 C trq

F.R stage 3 heads F.R.I, 431.6 C-hp and 365.3 C-trq

The stock 3 v made 359 fly wheel HP in full modded form it made 430 Flywheel Hp for a gain of 80 hp

That is what the article says.
